Song Of The Sea: A Masterpiece of Animated Storytelling

Sometimes it is the ones that come completely out of left field are the ones that surprise you the most. Song of the Sea is to me a legitimate masterpiece; a film of such lush imagination, exceptional artistry and emotionally satisfying storytelling that it ranks with Spirited Away, Fantastic Planet and others as an animated masterpiece. Call it exaggeration if you wish but that is legitimately how I feel.

I am surprised this movie has gone under the radar as much as it has. Song of the Sea is the kind of film that anyone passionate about film as an art form should know about and should champion. Never mind awards and what not, people just need to know about it, appreciate it and hopefully love it. That is what matters in the long run. I looked on YouTube and was surprised to find that not a lot of people covered it. You may find some here and there from some smaller channels but the biggest shock of all was that the most popular YouTube critics have completely missed this one. We at You Can't Unwatch It are at this time a small channel but hopefully this will help raise awareness for this film and get it the attention it deserves.

I rented Song of the Sea on a whim based solely on the artwork and was blown away by it entirely. It is an underrated and still relatively unknown animated masterpiece, one that I recommend everyone should see. Come follow us on...
