Scarlett: The Mediocre "Sequel" to Gone with the Wind

Oh. My. Goodness.

I don't really know where to start on this one.

I am a huge fan of Gone with the Wind. I watched it all the time as a kid and it was my go-to movie when I was sick and stuck in bed. When I finally read the book (or rather, listen to it on Audible), I loved it just as much and it made me appreciate the movie even more. Seriously, Gone with the Wind is amazing.

Now how did I get around to the "sequel", you ask?

As Gone with the Wind was a favorite among my group of friends, Scarlett came up naturally in conversation. A friend of mine told me the jist of the story and recommended I read it or watch the mini series for "kicks and giggles" but I refused. I can be a bit of a purist when it comes to stories I love and the idea of this "sequel" just didn't sit with me. But I finally caved a few weeks ago after Daniel and I decided to review sequels and remakes. And as you might have gathered from my Jurassic Park Sequel review...

It sucked worse than I thought.
